Qualification Requirements
- A three-year Degree or Diploma in Analytical Chemistry
- Government Ticket in Assaying will be advantageous
Experience and Skills Requirements
- Minimum 5-8 years’ supervisory experience in an analytical laboratory is required, together with experience in chemical analysis.
- Knowledge and experience in sample preparation.
- Knowledge and experience in Phosphorus and other mineral assays as required.
- Knowledge and experience in the following laboratory instrumentation, ICP, XRF, AA, Fusions apparatus and PSD analysis.
- Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo. This includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods.
- Experience in LIMS.
- Knowledge and experience in ISO 17025 laboratory accreditation.
- Valid driver’s licence code B, EB or C1 and own transport
