Requirements:-
Minimum educational qualification: Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as Medical Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Registration with a professional body: Registration with the HPCSA as Medical Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Experience: A minimum of 3 years’ appropriate experience as a Medical Specialist after registration with the HPCSA as Medical Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Inherent requirement of the job: Valid Code B drivers’ license. Be able to work commuted overtime at 186 Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department. Provide governance for the Termination of Pregnancy (TOP) Service for Garden Route and Central Karoo. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Good communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape, as well as computer literacy. Must have strong record of clinical expertise and clinical governance, research and experience of training and teaching at both under and post graduate levels. Strong people management skills, analytical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team. Financial and Resource Management. Experience in Management or Leadership.
