- At least (6) six years’ relevant experience in teaching in higher education at least at Senior Lecturer level comprising of relevant academic management experience.
- Recipient of research awards and grants
- Demonstrable track record of publications in accredited and peer-reviewed journals over the last 5 years (nationally and internationally)
- Post-graduate students supervised to completion relevant to the Education field (preferably in the field of SP FET)
- Experience in supervision of students on teaching practice
- Adequate knowledge of South African CAPS requirements.
- Experience as an external examiner/moderator at masters’ and doctoral levels.
- Experience in curriculum development
- Knowledge of the HEQSF processes
- Proven evidence of academic and research leadership qualities/high stature in the field nationally and/or internationally
